Auntie's Ideas Notebook- BLOG

We are going to try to create this Blog as a way to let you know what we are learning about

our ChromeBook and HyperDuino for Chrome.

Please be patient as we figure this out!

Starting with the ChromeBook...

Auntie's stories

I must be insane trying to start this as a blog AND trying to finally get some idea of what I am doing with my ChromeBook.

I decided to let you in on my adventure. Feel free to comment.

I've had my ChromeBook for about a year and fight with it every time I use it. It is far from intuitive (for me at least!) and it seems to always be changing (of course it is "updating" itself and I am supposed to guess what to do).

So I am giving this a try. It may change once I get the hang of blogging. So hang in there. I will try to update my FaceBook page whenever I find something I think you need to know.

I have read a lot of stuff online and watched several 12-year olds doing YouTube video explanations and have gotten NOWHERE.

So let the adventure begin here!

Step-by-step

ChromeBook

* I should be smarter than a sixth-grader (They seem to have no problem with this!)

* I will set this up as I begin to understand it all. (I have tried many times to learn how to be comfortable using the ChromeBook and usually just give up. Now I am going to learn to use this!)

I didn't know THAT!!!

ChromeBook

* The Screen Image/wallpaper

Seems they all want to show you how to change the image on the screen. "Personalizing" is soooo important (not!).

(BUT--you CAN change the wallpaper image. Auntie will explain Step-by-step-- soon)

* There is no Caps Lock key.

(BUT--you CAN change that too!)

* Stuff lives in the Cloud somewhere most of the time (although I have found some stuff hiding in dark recesses of the ChromeBook).
